The 19-year-old was reported missing from Swanage on 7 November. Her body was found 11 days later near the Dorset coast path. Her family said as the anniversary of her disappearance approached they were "asking people to make something to show she is not forgotten". The artwork will be displayed online. Miss Pope, from Langton Matravers, near Swanage, made an allegation she was raped two years before her death. Her family claimed an alleged failed police investigation "severely affected Gaia's mental and physical state". Art, particularly pyrography (woodburning), became a form of therapy for the teenager, her family said. Her mother Natasha Pope said: "I don't speak about my daughter in the past tense - I utter her name as I always have because I know she is still with me, every moment, in all we're doing. "Gaia's art and poetry, inspired by the beauty of nature and the strength of femininity, is her way of connecting with her true self. In spite of all she's been through she is not defined by that. "Our Gaia would want to provide a forum for others to find their voice and create." Miss Pope's cousin Marienna Pope-Weidemann added: "Some things are so big, run so deep, they can only be expressed through art. Our love and our grief for Gaia feels that way. "The love we've felt from the community felt that way too. We want to honour that, make it visible, maybe do something to show other survivors, families who's lost someone too soon, that they are not alone." The family said the project was inspired by the #JusticeForLB social media campaign and want people to share their art on Twitter via #JusticeForGaia. The #JusticeForLB campaign was set up by Dr Sara Ryan - the mother of 18-year-old Connor Sparrowhawk, who had epilepsy and drowned in a bath after having a seizure in Oxford. Mais de 70% dos novos alunos do ensino superior privado optaram por estudar à distância, diz Inep Por Luiza Tenente Dados do Censo da Educação Superior de 2022 foram divulgados e os números revelam que 1 a cada 5 jovens, de 18 a 24 anos, não concluiu o ensino médio nem vai ___ escola no Brasil. Além disso, 72% dos alunos que foram aprovados no ensino superior privado optaram por estudar à distância, conforme a divulgação feita pelo Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (Inep). Nas licenciaturas (cursos de formação de professor), o índice foi ainda maior ▲ 93,2%. O crescimento da Educação à Distância (EaD), tendência presente nos últimos anos, gera preocupação de especialistas por conta da regulação frágil do setor e da dificuldade de mensurar a qualidade dessas graduações. Os mecanismos atuais de avaliação de cursos não consideram, por exemplo, o tipo de plataforma online usada pelas instituições de ensino e o tempo dedicado ___ aulas “síncronas”, em que os alunos podem interagir em tempo real com os professores. A tendência é que as faculdades gravem o material didático apenas uma vez e o vendam para um número cada vez maior de interessados. “O papel do MEC é regular isso. É um sinal vermelho aceso para a gente tomar medidas importantes diante desse cenário”, afirmou Camilo Santana, ministro da Educação, durante o evento de divulgação dos dados. Segundo ele ● por decisão do governo federal, 16 cursos superiores não poderão ser feitos à distância: 4 já estão suspensos (Enfermagem, Direito, Odontologia e Psicologia) e outros 12 ainda estão em debate, por meio de consulta pública. Rodrigo Capelato, diretor-executivo do Semesp, entidade que representa mantenedoras de ensino superior no Brasil, explica que a modalidade à distância “tem sido mais atrativa por trazer flexibilidade em termos de local e horário [para o aluno estudar], mas, principalmente, por ser oferecida com mensalidades muito, muito mais baratas”. Ele complementa dizendo que “80% do alunado brasileiro têm renda per capita de até 3 salários-mínimos, ou seja, não têm condição de pagar mensalidades [dos cursos presenciais]. ___ cobertura do Prouni e do Fies é baixa e o número de vagas no ensino público também”. O número de novos alunos que escolheram fazer faculdade à distância cresceu 20% entre 2021 e 2022: saltou de 3,9 milhões para 4,7 milhões. Desde 2020, a EaD ultrapassou o ensino presencial no quesito “ingressantes”. A quantidade de cursos EaD no ensino superior triplicou em 4 anos: foi de 3.177 graduações, em 2018, para 9.186, em 2022.
